The Coronavirus Thread

I wish I had gone to my regular doctor instead of the local doc-in-the-box back in January when he diagnosed me with the flu. It felt really sinister and when I get flu its usually more of the liquids coming out than this. This just attacked my breathing and laid me out with fever.

I had an in-law that was laid out at the same time after coming back from England with an unknown illness and we all suspect it was COVID. I stayed at their house for 3 nights and then the next week I have this terrible illness.

Would an anti-body test detect this?

What does the antibody test tell you?
My understanding is it means you were exposed to the virus at some point, and your immune system built up the antibodies to fight it. I’m assuming that anyone that had it and recovered would have them, but some of the people that have antibodies never knew they had the virus.

I just did it to see, since it was free, and I’ve gone to a public place almost every day since this thing started

Starting a new job right at the beginning of the shutdown has been awful. You don't realize how hard the job can be without on-site resources.

I’m a little skeptical of this story but it’s making the rounds and anything to make UA look bad I’m all for:

Went to a little soup & sandwich shop on the court square yesterday to get something for the wife & I’m the only one in there wearing a mask, including the employees. One guy I consider a friend is telling me his wife has the plague & he’s in there eating across from another dude. I just don’t get it, especially the folks making it about politics. Find out this morning my BIL has come down with it & his health is not so good either.
