FISH!!!!!!!!!!!!

We outscored uga by 28 pts in the 2nd half, and more than doubled our first half output, 26/53. If this team can put 2 halves together consistently, we'll start blowing teams out like the 99-00 team did.

100% correct and we still have the biggest pt differential in the league by about 4 pts. Around 13 per. Kind of amazing.

Hey @MattAU05 what the fvck is going on

Losing my shat. That’s what I was doing. When we play really bad I turn the TV off and listen to the radio. I don’t think we’ve ever won when I’ve done that. I had given up and was starting to wonder if we could cobble together enough wins to make the Dance. And it takes a lot for me to feel that kind of quit.

I’m darn glad Bruce and the boys aren’t nancies like me.

This was the most important win of Bruce’s tenure. Not the “best.” Maybe not even top 10 best. But most important because what a loss could’ve meant. I gave up. I shouldn’t have. I feel great shame. But thank God I was wrong.

Edit: Thanks for paging me @FormerlyKnownAsSOLLY.

Bro, you need to take a big internet Xanax that is the Greg. We don’t freak out over here

Some halftime Greg quotes
UGA could easily score only like 12 pts in the 2nd half but we gotta pick up the pace and hit some shots.

Hopefully Bruce rips into them hard right now. Stapha needs to get his fuggin head right.

Gotta be able to create easy buckets somehow. Too many jump shots. Still got a chance though.

I’m biased, but we need more Davion

11 mins, 3 assists, 0 turnovers, 3 points

Jared - 0 assists in 16 minutes... he’s just not getting us into our offense... we’ve got 6 assists on 7 made baskets - which is a great ratio, but with only 7 makes it shows that Heron and Bryce and Murray aren’t creating ANYTHING on their own... we need more from the point guard spot, because just from more energy and quicker motion we’ll end up with those hockey assists from the 2nd/3rd/4th pass when the ball is popping

defensively, I’ve never seen an offense as godawful as that one score 40 points in a half... Maten is the only guy on their team who can dribble, pass, and shoot... I’d rather let Horace and Mac take him head up and make him score 40 than run triple teams at him and have Mustapha, and Malik, and Bryce completely lost trying to rotate multiple times

not happy at all with what I’m watching... but we can still win with a good 20 minutes - it won’t even take a great effort

I’ve never been able to not freak out about basketball. Except listening on radio. I think it’s bevause when I was a kid, I listened to games on the radio (because in the 90s, Auburn basketball was never on tv basically), and wasn’t quite as insane. So I didn’t freak.

But I can’t watch us suck and not lose it.

I’m a terrible fan because I’m still expecting the team to collapse at any given time. I just can’t fathom AU sustaining success in anything and I blame Gus for that.

Made the mistake of boogin on tbb this game. That'll never happen again. Those ouldes just don't understand the value of a good halftime we suck post to motivate the team.
DUDE I looked over there & there were like 38 threads out of 40 on the front page alone. That crap don't happen on the GREG. Or it better not. Glad to see you her tho

Damn skippy he is. Folks round the SEC may as well get used to the boogs boogin. They thought the bama loss was it for us. That AU would fold like a cheap lawn chair.

Fact is, boogs playt their absolute worst game and could've still won had 2 or 3 trips to the stripe been successful. Not a moral victory at all, just saying it wasn't a sign of things to come and boogs were not exposed as imposters like a lot of mediots around the league said.

Agreed. Basketballs is different that the Hut Hut (you should know). A loss in basketball can actually help you improve on your game, and a loss in footballs can destroy your season. I like them both, but the basketballs can be more intense and it's easier to keep up with for my wife (or so she thinks). "Just shoot the ball and you make it or not". She will actually watch a basketball game with me, no matter who is playing

Welp guys the first half was entirely my fault. Went to the parents house for dinner and listened to Rod and Sonny mope our way to a big halftime deficit. Got to their house and flipped on the SECN for the 2nd half and we booged out hard. Fvck you Rod and War Damn Boogs.

I can't get that to load. Is that like one plus for each positive stat (point(s), assists, rebounds, charges taken, etc) and one minus stat (missed FG, FT, TO, foul, etc)?
EDIT: Just saw go to desktop view

+/- is simply the scoring differential while a specific player was on the court

so, if a guy is subbed into the game and we’re up 11, and when he comes out we’re up 8, he was a -3 during those minutes... so, maybe we win by 10, but when Chuma was on the court we were +16, and when Desean was on the court we were -1...

it’s not a perfect statistic... but gives an interesting perspective on how effective a player was during a specific game... 5 man unit combinations is usually more telling, but especially in college the sample size is far too small to use it as gospel

Good grief. Bassman just started a new thread calling out people for calling him out in his 1st thread.

So much lulz
He clearly doesn’t have a life. No one should act like that. It’s not like he’s normally right about things.

that entire defensive possession before the Maten foul on Davion is credited to Horace... god I love aggressive, communicating, barking Horace

I wanted to go into this a little more and talk some things out, mainly to talk it through for myself...

Horace seems to be growing into a leadership role... this is admitted armchair psychology - but he seems to be far more outgoing and vocal than Mac in general... he’s channeling his aggressiveness far better this year - and has gone from a total wildcard just as likely to do something crazy and hurt the team, to a very reliable piece...

on the possession above I mentioned, he pushed 3 different teammates further out to extend the defense, or into better position... 1 was Davion who he pushed out further at the top of the key, and not sure who the other 2 were, but it was on different screen actions and switches as we handed guys off to teammates on cutters or off ball screens... he was barking orders and calling out help defense the entire possession, and even after giving up an offensive rebound, still kept us alive and fighting on that possession, ultimately getting Davion into position to jump Maten’s screen and fight over it drawing the offensive foul

it was a really good 30-40 seconds of Horace taking complete control of the team defensively, and just not something I’m sure Mac is ready to do yet... Mac was better today, and I’m wondering if he’d been a little under the weather, because the energy just hadn’t been there lately... but I also wonder if he’s just wearing down against bigger, more talented guys in conference play... and if part of the slow starts recently have been because we’re missing that edge Horace gives us as an anchor defensively

it’s a good problem to have - wondering if your backup center needs more minutes... and we actually played some Horace and Mac together because of the Chuma & Desean foul trouble, which I think we can get by with against limited offenses... I just want to give Horace a ton of credit for his improvement and growing leadership and little things that won’t show up on the stat sheet
