My issue is that Gus is a proven liar. He is still butthurt that he had to bench Jeremy Johnson. He can setup whatever kind of drills he wants to make Nix shine and Joey fail for the limited snaps he allows others to watch. Not gonna believe him or his shenanigans for a minute. I have seen all I need to see of QBs like Nix under Gus. Gus can not utilize them enough to get past 8-5 on a consistent basis.
So yeah we are are headed for a 7-6, 8-5, 9-3 type season AGAIN in the dullest Gussyest kind of way. At least Joey is something different. May mean the same thing but at least it wouldn’t be so damn predictable. Don’t see why everyone is so happy with rinse and repeat seasons. I’ll take a losing season playing a kid like Joey or Lamar Jackson rather than this bs year after year after year.

Didn’t watch the game but his stats make me sad. Gallops for 100+ in a quarter of mop up with all the 2nd/ 3rd stringers. Throws 1 pass.
Game was meaningless but we all know there’s 4-5 Ls coming without an electrifying dual threat QB at the helm.

Well my UNA Lions blew an 18-zip lead, but I still thoroughly enjoyed that bad ass Alabama A&M marching band. Two takes:
1) So happy I didn’t have any internet access to know anything about this Boog game until I was headed home.
2) Just read this entire thread in five minutes which is a good thing. On the flip, when the basketball season starts, there would have been 10-20 pages of glorious comments to enjoy. Of course I wouldn’t have missed a basketball game, so there’s that.

I love what I see so far in Gatewood. I go on the Bunker and you get killed for suggesting that Joey get some more PT... We need to see what he can do against 1's. I am not anti Bo, but damn Joey looks good at what he has been doing. 1 pass, so lame, let him sling it just to see!
Gus wasn’t afraid to let Jeremy Johnson sling it into triple coverage time after time after time. Then again JJ was the man Gus wanted.
OT but wrongs with Prince? I saw Bailey was starting. Well I actually heard Bailey because I didn't start watching the game until the 3rd qtr. I shot the rick out of some doves Saturday afternoon.
My whole thing with Joey is that he brings a different dimension to the offense with his ability to run, Bo runs well, but Joey is so much more fluid in his ability to change direction. No doubt Bo should see the majority of snaps but there is no reason he needs to be running a keeper at the goal line, let Joey do those things and let Bo take a few less hits so he can sling the ball when he needs to.
Just curious; Does a Water Foul guy eat the meat of a dove? Is it more like eating duck? I know the breast meat of both is dark.
It can simultaneously be true that Nix is a better QB and Joey is a better fit for the Gus offense. Gus still doesnt understand this, which is the number one reason he needs to go.
