Two unranked squads with trash head coaches take the field this weekend for CBS' game of the week. Hopefully Gus craps his pants. Lord knows he's sharted a lot this season, but we hoping for a full on dump this week to completley humiliate this proud program so that he can get the can. Hoping for the L. And for Tank to stay healthy. The kid is one of the only good things we have going for this school besides Bruce and the HYGs

I’m with you. It seems he may have made a coordinator hiring mistake like Chiz did in 2012 but I think they have the talent to stave off a complete collapse this season. Ed O is 3-0 vs Gus so has to be a good coach right???

I love him as a personality and person. Still not convinced he's a great all around head coach. Probably better than Chiz though

Really weird line movement early on this one and now I read it’s off the board in places. Hope we don’t have the Covids somewhere. Ed O said early on that most of his guys had it already. Never was sure if that was legit.
 
I like Ed. He’s an A+ recruiter and seems smart enough to realize he’s too dumb to really mettle with the coordinators. I think it’s fair to give LSU a pass this year after last and all the guys they’ve lost.

As far as the boogs I fear we find a way to win this one.

Looked at the Wiki on this rivalry & it appears I haven’t missed a Corndog home game since 73. Of course we didn’t play them every year until 92 & I actually don’t recall the how that game played out. Got an old roomie that traveled all the way Lafayette LA & wanted me to meet him there. My disdain for Gus is much greater than my friendship with him, so there’s that.

Looks like I was wrong. Look where my boy snuck in today & saw. That’s worth the trip right there.

TO’s are the difference. I’m not 100% confident, but it appears unless we Gus it up, there’s no way we can lose. Haven’t posted this since 2017 vs Eddie O!

That’s the way a true fan should be, but our win over LSU in 2016 allowed Gus to stay. Hopefully this win won’t. We aren’t good, but 4-2 with a win over LSU makes idiots think Gus is okay. That sux for AU.

Crazy. Ducking my head, but this squad could’ve be pretty good with some cupcake games for these dudes to get experience

There is no doubt in my mind that Gus will get another extension at Auburn. It is what it is.

Obviously the boog faithful gonna enjoy slapping the crap out of LSU but they suck this year. Gus gotta get his one nice performance to rally the honks somewhere after struggling with Arkansas. Of course it was really the D that got us going per usual.

He has three years remaining after this season on his contract.

IMO, only way he gets a one year extension (to make 4 years) is due to a reduction in buyout.
 
He will probably get a years ext so he’ll still have 4 left and it can’t be used against him in recruiting. They can extend him for 20 years and it doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is the buyout.

Wouldn't he have 4 years left on his contract after this year? 2018, 2019, 2020 + 4 more years?
