Boogs vs Mizzou (not mens softball)

It's cool. If need be, I can take one for the team and put you and LIGER on ignore, so clutter doesn't happen like it did in this one.

I really don't want to because y'all are very good posters over here, but I come over here to get away from clutter like this.

I had to do it. I came here to escape boog boarding behavior. I'll take them off after baseball season.

Come on. I know your baseball IQ is way above average so don’t give me that. Just because we were hitting “well” against SWAC level talent through the OOC schedule doesn’t mean we were hitting great. We were just beating up on trash pitchers that were throwing beachballs across the plate. We just simply are not a good hitting team. There is no way to spin that.

Maybe I’m wrong and we have a bunch of below average to terrible hitters. I don’t think that’s the case though.

I don’t mind the Butch Sonny back and forth. In fact I quite enjoy it. I am just thankful these aren’t threads talking about women’s sports. Unless your daughter is on a team or your a coach for the sport. Interest in it just weird from my POV. nttawwt

The Golloway/Butch debates are some of my favorite banter on this board and are done 99% of the time tongue in cheek... not totally serious.

Now that we have another data point, last night, I feel, proves my position just a bit further. We absolutely murdered Alabama A&M. The mental thing never seems to bother them when we play trash teams. I guess it could be mental. But I'd only say it's a mental thing after our guys realize that they can't hit against decent/good pitching. Maybe we have good hitters (at least potential ability wise) but we just don't have the right hitting coach to teach them how to do it.

I dread this weekend series. Hope the guys fool me. Feeling like we are in a bit of trouble.

We've hit some good pitchers this year. 7 hits of Hjelle (reigning SEC Pitcher of the Year), 6 off Sikkema, 6 off Kentucky's closer (who had been good all year before that inning), 6 off Plassmeyer. And I don't think they have a mental issue against weaker teams because they play free and without pressure and with confidence. I think any pitcher that shakes their confidence is the biggest problem, and I consider that a mental issue, or not being mentally tough or resilient enough.
