OT: 2021-2022 AUBURN BASKETBALL

Some scuttlebutt about we can’t take him cause we don’t offer his major? God Aurbun is such a joke.
If I was in charge, at a minimum, the University of Aurbun Online would offer his major.

Seriously, this has got to be a cover for another kid who doesn’t want to compete?? Shoukd be one of the first things you cover before offering and a kid committing..

I was excited about Sills. Hope we keep him
per Nathan King:
Auburn has reached a roadblock with Arkansas transfer Desi Sills. I'm told there are academic factors that could prohibit the former Razorbacks guard, who signed with AU on May 5, from taking advantage of the NCAA's new transfer rule (i.e., he wouldn't receive immediate eligibility if the issues persist).

This doesn't have anything to do with competition on the roster. Sills wants to play at Auburn. And Auburn wants him. The Tigers were planning on him being immediately eligible and contributing this year.

However, this is not a nail in the coffin at the moment, and Auburn is doing everything it can to figure things out. I'm told not all of Sills' credits properly translate from his Arkansas coursework to Auburn's in order to achieve immediate eligibility. Is it fixable? Maybe. Auburn's staff will try.

Not much else to share at the moment. I'll let you know if there are any updates later on.

This is encouraging. He apparently posted something on Instagram too that indicated he’s trying to stay. Sounds like he’s got to take a pretty loaded summer schedule to make it work

I’d prob like him a lot more if he didn’t have the red streak in his hair.

Some boog saying JT was wanting to come back but he’s too far behind academically. Outrageous and pathetic if we actually let that happen so I don’t really believe it.

Ima continue to assume Scoot is still on the way cause Scoot is life.
This should let future studs know in advance if they want on our call list, no hair streaks. I wouldn’t have a problem with it myself, but whatever BRUCE deems is good with me. He has the same respect by Boog fans as Saban does with the Bams, but not nearly the fear factor. I still won’t get in his space unless I knew he was good with it tho.

My excitement level for this team is kinda scary. We have so many great pieces, and if they can all gel together and work as a group, it seems there are few teams that can match up with us across the board.

I’m psyched. We got the pieces to make a run for sure. Then again a few months ago there seemed to be a decent possibility we’d have most of this group on the roster as well:

Sharife
Scoot
Powell
JT
Alexander

Could have been just ungodly nasty but leave it to Bruce to lose all that and still have the top squad in the land.

I'm pretty pumped too. And I'd like to THINK that we've got at least a modicum of stability now at the guard spot. Kids don't usually transfer multiple times. And neither KD nor Wendell are NBA guys imo. So maybe we can ride their experience and a talent for at least a few seasons.

This season should be amazing. I know it could a little diddy to get some chemistry issues down. But all the transfers are so experienced and proven. And the only guy that needs proving is literally the most blue chip of all blue chip studs that have ever graced Boogville. So we'll be fine.

These next two seasons should be legit. Especially if Wendell and JD prove to be what we all know they can be.

2022
Wendell
JD
D Cam?
Jaylin
Cambridge

not a star studded lineup but my god. It'd be full of junior and seior studs just ready to ball

And, if the NCAAT has shown anything over the last few years, it's that Jr and Sr heavy rosters run deep in March.

I'm semi optimistic just because (even with some attrition) there's so much talent on the roster that we should be pretty immune to transfers killing us after this season if they happen. You can never predict anything because we all though Justin Powell would've been locked and in for this season. But I gotta think we have some "guaranteed" returners for 2022 and that makes me a little bit secure

I wonder if Sharife would've stuck around Boogvile this upcoming season if he'd have known that he could've made money off his likeness starting this July. Wouldn't make as much as he will in the league, but it still could've still enticed him a bit to maybe experience a final four

Which hoops player is gonna land the biggest sponsorship? Gotta think Flanny but I have no idea who has the biggest social media profiles

Jabari is potentially the #1 pick in next draft gotta think somebody gonna throw a lot of money at him. Sharife could have made a lot but really no idea what these #s will look like yet but I’m guessing could get up to 6 figs for the choicest HYGs.

I fell out of my chair when I read your Jabari/Guthrie’s post in the Bo thread on tbb. I’m still laughing as I type this.

I don’t think Shariffe would’ve stayed regardless but if this had been enacted two years ago, we would’ve much had better chances with Green and Kuminga etc

The first 40 posts help put it in perspective but this was perfect.

Hopefully he's the first in a long line of Apple sponsored HYG's.
