originally at Minnesota, shot 44% from 3 this year but only 10 games... 40% from 3 and 93% from the line as a sophomore 👀
I’m not getting attached to any specific names, but we’re gonna find someone like this guy somewhere whether it ends up being him, another guy we’ve heard mentioned, or some dude we’ve never heard of yet
If we get a couple more shooters where at least one has a good handle, I’ll be pretty excited for the potential next year
i mean, if Jay magic really is thinking about transferring then this child can just come on down. Otherwise, I'd imagine the Boogs' frontcourt is a little too packed for his liking at the moment
There’s some stuff out there that JT is wanting to go if he can get drafted at all. That’d obviously suck balls but I think we’ll make a run at Kessler. He could be our best option at 5 regardless of how the roster shakes out.

per Jake Weingarten at Stockrisers AU has entered the mix for former 5* Nimari Burnett. Vandy, bama, Oregon, USC and Illinois are the major competition.
We really need to score big in the transfer market this year. There were a few kids that I thought we had last year who had great seasons this year for their new teams. Glad we’ve started out strong with Jep.
Some insider from the boog with a Naked Gun avatar claims we’re in great shape for Kessler and Sharife will return unless he’s a top 15 lock. Must be true.
I’d love to get Kessler primarily to rub gary's nose in it - but the Sharife Top 15 promise was the most important thing he said and people haven’t really picked up on it yet

I would assume he’s a take if he wants to come but he shouldn’t be a priority the way 2-3 guards should be, even if Coop comes back.
it'll be very weird if we get Kessler. There were a lot suggestions in the Boogosphere during that recruiting cycle that the only reason Bruce was taking Justin Powell's commitment was to lure Kessler to the plains since he and powell were very good friends. Now powell is gone and we still might get the big fella after all. Would be kind of funny. But I agree. We need guards

Yes, unless the transfer waiver rule is passed this summer. It's expected to, but it was also expected to be passed in January and the NCAA pushed it off. TBH, Nimari Burnett is not a guy who would be a go-to scorer next year nor is that rumor who I think this is referring to. Burnett announced his decision to transfer a little while ago, and I think this is someone who is still playing or just finished.
I'll be pretty disappointed if it is Burnett.

Pinson is an odd case... watching him play I love everything about his game - but the shooting percentages and counting stats other than PPG are underwhelming

I know exactly what you mean with his numbers but you can just see “it” in him. A little Pearl x 2 time will make him a great player IMO.

He reminds me a lot of Chris Denson, and I always wanted to see him in Bruce’s offense. But with Zep and Trey coming in and Sharife possibly coming back, not sure Pinson has the skill set I think we need for that position we’re trying to fill. I’d rather have a 3-and-D guy like Bryce.
