I can’t decide if I’d rather take a full year of Sharife, Scoot doesn’t reclassify, then he comes as a one and done... or go ahead and let Sharife spread his wings and take Scoot for 2 years

right now I’d take the 2 years of Scoot, but that’s probably just me lying to myself to ease the pain... Sharife conducting the full orchestra next year would be pure art, but 2 years of Scoot is about the best anyone could ever hope for a “backup” plan

It’s a conundrum. On one hand there’s no doubt in my mind Sharife would be the best player in cbb next year by a wide margin. Then again based on all the raggedy ass ball I’m witnessing in the tourney we still project as the top team in cbb next year and then have the clear cut best player in Scoot as a Soph.

I still maintain we should nuke China for robbing us of another final four run with Samir, JVon, and Isaac... and just to lash out in frustration we never got to really see Sharife and Thor in front of a packed Clam

but... if this is the first step in BRUCE dethroning Cal and UNC and the rest of the has been’s as THE man to entrust your future if you are a One & Done caliber lead guard, then so be it

It still hurts to think about even as a hardened boog enthusiast. Without so many BS injury, NCAA, global pandemic issues we’re on a 4 year tourney run with a title and probably 2-3 sweet 16 runs and beyond. Regardless, BRUCE ain’t gonna let that stop him from ascending to the top of the game.

it’s the beaten down and broken BOOG in me, but reading his quotes just infuriate me that much more with the NCAA... my guess is he was gone regardless, but he obviously felt mistreated and I have to believe that just pushed him to take any first round promise at all rather than risk dealing with more bullshit just to try to move into the lottery

Yeah Scoot a nice consolation as the top PG prospect in the land and a potential top 5 pick in a couple years.

Rife just embodied everything an HYG is all about. So stunningly talented and handsome he didn’t need to be bothered with trivial things like defense. Although, I suspect if he didn’t have to miss 6 weeks of practice he may have been better. Basically ran our entire offense while everyone else stood around and did nothing until he dropped the most pristine dime in their face for the easiest bucket they’ll ever get.

Anyway, hope he goes top 15 and think he can considering his skills are so far beyond most of the guys projected in that range.

SCOOT is built like mini-Flanny... we’ve never had a creator and passer like Sharife - but we’ve also never had a physical specimen with true point guard skills like SCOOT

Cooper seems to really love Bruce. His declaration with the recent heat on scoot’s name seems to correlate. Sucks to lose him, but I’m glad he played at AU and will always be a good ambassador of the program.

very true. It's pretty wild to think about that there's never been more than 3 or 4 (I could be wrong) Boog players playing in the nba in the same season in my lifetime. And Bruce is definitely gonna shatter that soon.

You’re doing the lords work and even if most can’t be turned at least there’s the satisfaction of berating such low IQ individuals in front of the entire internet.

I even feel like a bit of a dumbass for thinking we were gonna return so many future NBA 1st rounders. Oh well lose a lot of experience by cutting the dead weight Srs off the team and replacing them with some choice transfers and god willing a couple more elite HS guards that project as even better NBA prospects than Sharife to go along with the phenom Jabari. #bluebloodproblems.
