Sharife was incredible but I was pretty disappointed to see his lack of ability and/or effort on defense. If he’s gone, we gotta get some intensity on defense in the guard spots
yep. Bryce and Jared were tenacious on D at the end of games. Sami was really good too.
I know everyone is swooning over Jones from Penn State, but give me Locke all day... maybe I’m an idiot - I’ve never really seen Jones play - but Locke has been stuck with a terrible coach in an awful system surrounded by tryhard brutes... his Handsomeness has been wasted - he just needs a little Pearl flavored TLC

The portal is loaded with HYG caliber talent. Ima still be annoyed when Rife and JT are off to the lig but Bruce gonna put the pieces together. That raggedy group of Arkansas transfers still playing we gonna have a far superior squad to that for sure.
Reading the internet tea leaves, seems we could probably get Pinson if we pushed hard for him, but seems Bruce may have someone else as top priority right now

yeah. I assumed he'd declare pretty immediately. But now that I think about it, the whole "signing without an agent" doesn't make much sense for him to say since his dad will be his agent. So I'm guessing when he declares (one way or another), it'll be final
Sounds like Jasper should be a huge boost on D. Watching some of his highlights, he was a pretty aggressive on ball defender who creates turnovers. Having one guard who is a plus defender takes some of the pressure off if Sharife returns or we get another transfer PG who is similarly not a great defender.
I don't necessarily think that's the case unless he says something in his announcement about having no intention of returning. (and even then, he could still come back if he gets a late 1st/2nd grade and changes his mind) Everyone who is a borderline prospect or better tends to declare and then make a final decision on leaving their name in the draft by whenever the deadline is in May or early June. Hiring an agent doesn't have any bearing on the ability to return as, IIRC, you're allowed to retain an agent and still come back. For Sharife, he probably won't need to specify that he's hiring an agent because his dad will be acting as his agent whether he makes that official before the draft or not.
I was impressed by how much Jamal improved this year. He was the guy who I thought was most likely to be a non factor this year after he faded so badly the last 6 weeks of the season last year. I assume he will start for UAB and should be a big boost for them, especially if he continues to make the kind of progress we saw this year.
well according to JLee on Rundown, Pinson is an immediate take if the NCAA and SEC both allow the transfer and immediate eligibility
according to my football source, Pinson has committed but will wait to go public when the SEC approves 1 year transfers.
basically, "I am committed to you, Corch Pearl, if the SEC allows me to play next year. If not, all bets are off."
so many moving parts I’m just gonna wait until the dust settles and see who we actually have on the roster for next year... I have no doubts it will be enough to cut down the nets, but it’s anyone’s guess who BRUCE blesses us with

It sounds like Thor is leaving the door open to return, but he's fully expecting to get good info from his workouts and get into the draft. And it kinda sounds to me like if he hears he will get drafted (not just first round or lottery) he will go.
Yeah like @DufnerFanBoy said seems like he’s leaving if he can just get a draftable grade. Even 2nd round. In which case, Noah gurley is my #1 and Kessler is 1A
