Looks like the big chaulk Kessler committed to auburn. Wow. No idea what to expect with this roster
yeah. kid can play for sureOk, just watched some highlights and I’m on board with super chAUlkie.
agree it could be the end, how many spots do we have left? assume we'll hold one for Scootah.I do wonder if that's the end of Thor. I don't know. This roster is getting to complicated to figure out. But my god. A front court of Flanny, Jabari, and Kessler is tasty for sure. Would rather Thor return but I'm not getting upset
everyone is waiting on the NCAA to make their decision if this will be a free year, but folks seem to think all transfers will be free to play next season.I'm assuming these transfers (Wendell and Walker) are both gonna be eligible next season?
he's another guy set to take a big step next year, hope he hangs on. I could see babatunde pondering a move too.I'm guessing Jay Magic won't be happy about this. Wonder if he decides to transfer. Hope not, but I could understand if he does

If we can get Ty Ty/Scoot that would be an all time great lineup from a pure talent standpoint.welp... ready to be proven to be a colossal dumbass since I’ve never been especially high on the youngster
BRUCE has been busting his ass to get this kid for years, so I’m sure I’m missing something
now go get TyTy and/or Scoot and let’s roll
Yeah I’m thinking Alexander finished third in that three point contest as well. Ready to get to Boogin here in mid April. If we can get Ty Ty/Scoot that would be an all time great lineup from a pure talent standpoint.
side note: I’m loving our outlook from behind the arc. I caught the end of the high school dunk and 3pt contest and I believe they said Jabari got 2nd place in the 3pt contest. With Kessler now onboard we will be a true threat from behind the line from 1 -5. Not sleeping on Trey Alexander either. Watched his mix tape and he is another guy (like Green) who has that J. Harper logo range. Add a guy like Sils, Locke, or McClung and we would have the mother load of 3pt assassins. Bruce has to be all warm and fuzzy looking at what he will have to work with from range. Just think about it...our top 3 point options (Jaylin, Cambridge and Flanny) from last year are now probably our 6, 7 and 8th best options. Ridiculous depth!
Boog board insiders acting confident in another big time pickup over the next week or 2.
it’s gotta be Tyty or scoot.
Good catch. Did not realize that. Jeez I can’t sleep now thinking about next years squad.Yeah I’m thinking Alexander finished third in that three point contest as well. Ready to get to Boogin here in mid April.

I guess if we get a PG like Scoot, then Zep will play the 2? But if we get a 2, then Zep would play point?Boog board insiders acting confident in another big time pickup over the next week or 2.

Agree we can be greedy at this point. Not sure if any of the “names not discussed” can be found on this list, but it’s the best composite I could find of top guards in the portal.starting to see new rumblings that there could be names in the mix that haven’t been discussed... obviously Scoot has a spot regardless, and I would imagine TyTy does as well, but there may be another guard or two none of us are thinking about
Sills announces later this week, and would appear to be a backup plan, so assuming no other Boog commitments before his announcement, if Sills commits somewhere else that’s a good sign - or at least a sign that we’re still working on higher priority guys
the phrase “we can afford to be greedy” or something similar was mentioned
It’s no coincidence this alleged G- League is trying to poach another HYG from BRUCE. Let’s just be clear the G League is another Nike operation, co-opted by antisemites and the REC mafia, that exists for the sole purpose of undermining BRUCE.It seems more and more that Scoot is going to bolt for G-League.
My guess is TyTy or someone like Mac McClung.
Former Bunker intern Nate King works for 247 sure and he said Sills is announcing Wednesday. But he doesn't think we take Sills (or least he hasn't heard much talk on him)
You think Zep would start over Wendell Green at PG?I guess if we get a PG like Scoot, then Zep will play the 2? But if we get a 2, then Zep would play point?
No, just saying we need 2 PGs, and I’m assuming whatever type of guard we sign will dictate where Zep ends up playing. I think Wendell is the more polished player, while Zep is more athletic and the better defender. I think Zep would be a good 2, but everyone was saying we signed him to play point. Of course, that was before we signed GreenYou think Zep would start over Wendell Green at PG?
well that would suck. Can't blame a kid for chasing the bag. But all you gotta do is look at Chuma and realize one extra year can make all the difference for that first contract.I don't think Thor is coming back. He's not going to class.
Just tells me Bruce knows how to spot and recruit the best talent! G League can fvck off taking our HYGs though. It’s no coincidence this alleged G- League is trying to poach another HYG from BRUCE. Our boy, JFerg, has been spitting out some great advanced stat numbers on Kessler that make it sound like he could've or should've been a lot more productive at UNC with more minutes.
There's a couple highlight videos going around, and he has a play against FSU where he comes off a high ball screen and gets the pass on the pop from the PG. He rips it to his left side and takes his defender off the dribble and dunks in about two strides. I found it fascinating because it reminded me of Thor when he'd take his defender off the bounce in the same situation. Now, I'm not comparing Kessler's ball handling and dribble-drive skills to Thor, but for a guy his size to be that agile and comfortable to put the ball on the floor and drive to the basket was impressive to me. Then, he had another play where he tipped a ball away at the top of the key, stole it, and took it all the way to the other end for a dunk. Just great plays from a big, especially one of his size.I’ll admit I severely underestimated how quickly he can get up and down the court... he’s not near the lumbering oaf I remembered... now I’m wondering how good his conditioning is, and how long he can play with that effort and speed
it’s easy to haul ass up and down the court when you’re playing 4 minutes a game... hopefully he can do it for 24
I also didn’t fully appreciate just how effing long he is... watching it in high school and AAU showcases, you’re watching him against 15-16 year olds so I didn’t put much stock in it - but he still looked huge facing ACC competition, which is nice to see
I’m not ready to declare him the missing piece or anything of the sort, but I’m ready to be proven wrong about him
